I prefer the label software engineer because it's broad enough for what I actually do, in an era when words like "architect" or "developer" have been worn smooth by overuse. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, and code and systems have been my work and my hobby since the first PC I had at home.

Generalist by curiosity

I've gone all the way down to CPU opcodes writing a Nintendo emulator in Rust, just for fun. Professionally, I've crossed eras:

  • Java · EJBs · Eclipse
  • .NET 4.x · WebForms · SOAP
  • modern .NET · cloud · Angular/React

Understanding what sits below the abstraction has never stopped fascinating me.

What I'm doing now

After fifteen years building systems for the administration, management, and distribution of investment funds, today I research, conjure, and ship AI on two fronts: inside the software-development process itself, and across business-process automation. It's disruptive territory, with no manual — a daily exercise in research and imagination.

The other half

Music started on the guitar and grew up with DAWs — it's a hobby, but a real one. I keep a small studio at home, split my time between Ableton and Logic, and a few tracks live on SoundCloud. Code entered through DSP and my own VSTs: I think of myself as an explorer of the place where audio and code meet.

The two worlds talk more than it looks like they do — both live on structure, pattern, and the margin where the rule breaks and something interesting happens.
